Preparation & Cooking
Mint can be used fresh or dried. It can be added to cold and hot soups, sauces, certain vegetables, potato salad, meat, game, fish and ice cream. Mint's essential oil is used to flavour chewing gum, chocolate, liqueurs, toothpaste, medicines and cigarettes, and adds fragrance to certain cosmetics.
Serving Suggestions
Mint is used in everything from tabouleh to lamb, from teas to stirfry. In the United States, it is most often used with sweets, vegetables and drinks. Mint also makes a beautiful garnish, particularly on dessert dishes. Lamb is traditionally served with mint sauce or jelly.
